ºù«ÍÞapp Borough Council has launched the ºù«ÍÞapp Greentech Business Growth Fund to grow local businesses in the green technology and zero/low carbon construction sectors.

The Fund provides three tiers of grant support:

  • Start-up grants of up to £10,000 to support new businesses in the greentech sector;
  • Business development grants of up to £50,000 for existing greentech businesses to refine their prototype; and
  • Investment grants of up to £175,000 for existing greentech businesses to scale up their activities

Applications are now open, on a rolling basis, until all the available funding is allocated, likely to be in early 2024.

Businesses must be based in ºù«ÍÞapp and be a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) – full criteria are available by visiting our Greentech Business Growth Fund page.

Businesses can find out more about these grants by attending a free, 90-minute webinar on Tuesday 15 August at 12 noon. .

Funding has been made available thanks to £1 million of government funding secured by the council and local partners from the Towns Fund.

This project forms part of the wider strategic delivery of ºù«ÍÞapp as an innovation hub for green technology, which also includes the creation of the ºù«ÍÞapp Innovation Centre in the Manor Royal Business District, anticipated to provide physical office spaces for existing and future advanced engineering and zero/low carbon tech innovators.

Business applicants to the ºù«ÍÞapp Greentech Business Growth Fund will be able to access technical advice in preparing grant applications from Carbon Limiting Technologies, a specialist consultancy with more than 17 years’ experience in designing and delivering climate technology grants and acceleration support.

Through this dedicated business grants programme, we are ensuring that ºù«ÍÞapp can unlock greentech business growth and jobs to help our economy to prosper during the UK’s transition to net zero. We are also demonstrating our commitment to make ºù«ÍÞapp the heart of the greentech innovation ecosystem.
