About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to lead our Leasehold and Right to Buy Service.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering exemplary customer services, experience of driving service improvements, and great team leadership skills. You should also have a working knowledge of relevant legislation (guidelines, and associated regulations and procedures) and have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
The role will involve:
- leading the Leasehold and Right to Buy Team with direct line management responsibility for 4 to 5 staff members
- direct responsibility for the service charge billing process, including liaising with other teams to prepare accurate service charge estimates and year-end accounts
- overseeing and issuing Section 20 consultation notices for major works
- responding to lease enquiries including pre-sales enquiry requests
- oversee applications for Right to Buy and ensure statutory timeframes are met
- ensuring recovery of service charges from leaseholders and shared owners
- dealing with Leasehold First Tier Tribunal matters and representing the council in court when required.

This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week. We offer flexible working hours and the opportunity to work from home for 2 to 3 days per week, following the successful completion of your probation period.
A full current UK driving licence is a requirement of the role.
